This product is developed specificially to fit all 2012-2019 Vanquish models, (TT2, TT3, S, Ultimate & Zagato) historicially intercepting the exhaust electronics has been a challenging task on all of these variants.
This is the MK2 version of this product and has been redesigned to make it more reactive and a more elegant fit in a plug in package that intergrates its fuse to being an internal auto reset fuse and leaves the existing cabling 100% as Aston designed it.
This product also has a stealth characteristic, which means that its internal "defeat circuit" makes its presence unable to be recognised by either the earlier (6 speed TT2) "Spanish Oak" ECU or the later (8 speed TT3) Bosch ECU. This means no presence detection at all on the Aston Martin AMDS (Aston Martin Diagnostics System) as used by both official dealerships and the better equipped Independent facilities.
This kit also uses one of CCChargers "Auto Memory Modules, which uses core memory to ensure that the unit stays in the mode that you last selected, through multiple restarts and even battery disconnection, saving you selecting the exhaust tone of choice at start up.
The change in exhaust tone is significant with the S7 in Loud Mode, enabling a richer, deeper V12 sound to prevail. Our video of the drive off comparison illustrates this from a launch control start, though I feel the most valued change of tone is demonstrated at lower revs, where the 2700 RPM flat spot is negated and an improved depth of sound present from around 1100 RPM when moving off.
This Vanquish bespoke solution enables an elegant fit in around an hour, unlike our other Exhaust Remote Control Products, this item is not a 90 second "push in" fit due to the nature of the 2012 -2018 Vanquish design.
The vehicle needs to be raised and the R/H rear wheel needs to be removed along with the inner wing liner, the unit then mounts in the exhaust vacuum control panel, intercepting the wiring loom, where it click fits into existing wiring.
While the instructions detail the process fully, we recognise that the skills and facilities to carry out the task may not be available to all customers and hence the instructions are clearly written and represent an easy installation process for any auto repair shop or garage.
